Yea I was going to say, seems like you’re disagreeing with his (and by extension my) definition of a yogi and particularly a “master” one. I still think that one can be a master in terms of spirituality (being the light) but have a bunch of hangups when it comes to relationships that end up damaging others. I think that Western psychology, and as I’m arguing in this piece, political-economy, are beneficial, modern additions to ancient spirituality, e.g., Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. That’s why I dig Deida’s framework of the three modalities (spiritual, therapeutic, and yogic), though I wouldn't go as far as him in saying they are all mutually exclusive. There is some overlap.
