I’m not a liberal, nor a staunch supporter of the Democratic Party, and I don’t have kids. But I hear you. My piece, like all of my writing, isn’t meant to shame parents or anyone who choose the best from a very limited set of options. It’s meant to call out those in power for driving wedges between working people, all of us, whether we’re white, black, or brown.
